Why Hawthorn & Bloom?
Hi, I’m Ashley.
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who believes that healing begins in relationships - through feeling seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are.
For more than eleven years, I’ve worked alongside individuals and families navigating serious mental illness, substance use, trauma, grief, and life’s most difficult seasons. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that people are more than the hardest things they’ve experienced.
My works is shaped not only by my professional experience but also my personal journey.
As a parent, I’ve experienced the uncertainty, fear, and exhaustion that can come with caring for a child through serious medical challenges. That season changed me. It deepened my understanding of grief, resilience, and the quiet strength it takes to keep moving forward when life doesn’t unfold as planned.
Those experiences reinforced what I had already learned as a therapist: healing isn’t about “getting over” what happened. It’s about finding ways to carry your story with greater self-compassion, reconnect with your strengths, and create a life that feels meaningful again.
Whether you’re struggling with with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, caregiver stress, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I strive to create a space where you can show up honestly, without judgment, pressure, or the expectation that you have everything figured out.
My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, trauma-informed, and rooted in authenticity, curiosity, and respect. I value genuine connection and believe therapy works best when it feels like a partnership.
To me, Hawthorn & Bloom represents what I hope every client experiences: a place where resilience takes root, hope blossoms, and each person’s story is met with compassion, courage, and care,
Every name has a story.
Hawthorn was chosen in honor of my son, Hudson. Like the hawthorn tree, he reminds me that strength and resilience can take root in even life’s most difficult seasons.
Bloom was chosen in honor of my son, Bodhi. During his childhood cancer journey, our family witnessed extraordinary courage, hope, and the unwavering love of those who walked alongside us. He reminds me that even after unimaginable hardship, healing is possible - and that life can bloom again.
Hawthorn & Bloom was born from those lessons.
This practice is a reflection of what my family has lived and what I believe for every person who walks through my door: that resilience can take root, hope can bloom, and no one should have to face life’s hardest moments alone.
